The Stadium
The new Waldstadion is being built where the previous stadium was, which was first built in the 1920s and renovated for the 1974 Wrold Cup and 1988 European Championships.
In May 2000, the city council approved building a new stadium in it's place, a modernised stadium able to hold plenty of events for decades to come.
It would hold a retractable roof, and host over 48,000 seats, and is home for the local club, Eintrach Frankfurt.
It would host a First Round and Quarter Finals match for the World Cup 2006.
