Led by Luis Fernando Suarez, Costa Rica look to go beyond the first round, a feat they have not been able to accomplish since 1990 (one of the two times they qualified for the World Cup). The team had a scare in the middle of their campaign to qualify for the World Cup when they were near the bottom of the group, but after four wins in six games, they were able to qualify by coming in third in the CONCACAF. Unfortunately for Costa Rica, their top striker is now the aging ex-West Ham United striker, Paulo Wanchope, who has definitely lost his legs in comparison to the previous years. Matches
