Portugal made a clean sweep into the finals of the World Cup, and have been unbeaten in the qualifying rounds. Brazilian Manager, Luiz Felipe Scolari, led them to the finals of Euro 2004. In addition to a competent manager, Portugal is led by Luis Figo, one of the great Portuguese footballers who just came back from international retirement. To add to the impressive squad is Cristiano Ronaldo (Manchester United), as well as Pauleta who set a new record of goals for Portugal at 41.

The team has numerous strengths, their solid defence, superb midfield nad above average attacking style and skill which make them one of the favorites to reach the finals.
