Trinidad & Tobago made it to the finals of the World Cup after a play-off win against Bahrain. Their entry into the finals was largely due to Manager Leo Beenhakker who guided the inexperienced time from the West Indies to their first World Cup.

They are led by Captain, Dwight Yorke, who came out of retirement in order to compete. Along with Yorke, star players include Wrexham defender Dennis Lawrence as well as Stern John. Although Trinidad & Tobago possibly have the largest longshot to win the tournament, their presence at the tournament is one of national pride.
